Regular Reviews
Monthly reporting includes a review of your balance sheet and income statement, with explanations and recommendations.
Ebert CPA is an Edmonton accounting practice founded by Chris Ebert. We provide accounting, tax compliance and business advisory services to small and medium-sized businesses across Alberta.
Ebert CPA provides accounting and financial advice to small and medium-sized businesses. The practice combines regular financial reporting and tax compliance with advice grounded in how a business operates day to day.

Chris founded Ebert CPA after almost 20 years in industry, to give owner-led businesses the financial discipline large companies rely on, sized to their budget.
He has led monthly cost-versus-budget and forecasting reviews with executives, vice presidents and project leadership teams at companies including Dragados Canada, Colas Canada, Kiewit and GFL Environmental.
He has managed the financial side of construction projects worth more than $500 million, from cost control and administration staff to accounting-system implementations.
A Certified Management Accountant since 2016, he has worked with everyone from the yard to inventory and sales: pricing bids and proformas, forecasting costs and finding operational savings.
He takes what large companies do well and scales it to a smaller business and its budget. He also runs a landscaping supply yard, Devonian Landscape, so he knows the owner’s side of the desk.

Neha is an accounting professional at Ebert CPA, supporting clients’ bookkeeping, reporting and tax work.
She handles day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, payables and receivables, payroll and GST, and prepares monthly financial reports.
She supports year-end financial statements and the preparation and filing of tax returns, with Chris reviewing the work.
With an accounting background from India and Canadian accounting experience since 2022, she is now pursuing the US CPA designation.

You deal directly with the accountant and bookkeeper who do your work, so questions go to the people who know your file.

Services and fees are set out before work begins, and changes are discussed before proceeding.

We agree what information is needed, who needs access and how documents are shared before work begins.
Common questions about working with Ebert CPA.
You work directly with the accountant who reviews your reports and advises you, and with our bookkeeper, who keeps your records current between reviews.
Yes. Ebert CPA is based in Edmonton and serves businesses across Alberta. We discuss meeting arrangements and any on-site work as part of the engagement.
We discuss your business, current accounting arrangements and the services you need. We then confirm the proposed scope, fees and next steps, including any records or account access required.
Fees are quoted for each engagement and sized to your business. They depend on the services you need, the volume of transactions and the condition of your records: clean monthly statements take less work than a year of receipts in a box. We agree fees before work begins and discuss any additional work with you first.
